Joy!
What does joy mean to
you?
What brings you joy?
This week, I learned that joy is
"an intense experience of positive emotion."
That statement alone honestly brought me joy and sense of relief. How often do we stop and think deeply about simple things like the meaning of a word, or simply how it makes us feel?
It's pretty powerful if you think mindfully.
Joy can be simple, anything that makes you smile. Experiencing joy is possible at any moment throughout the day, you just have to look for it.

Joy can be simple, anything that makes you smile. Experiencing joy is possible at any moment throughout the day, you just have to look for it.
I think of joy as something beautiful and pure. I see joy jumping,
shining, singing, all embracing the wonders of positivity.
Joy is:
- A bright color among darker
colors
- A confident, beautiful woman
- Feeling deeply loved
- Laughter of little kids
- Worshiping God freely, openly,
honestly
- Smiling genuinely
- Laughing uncontrollably with
someone
- Golden hour, noticing people's
faces light up
Joy is being
overwhelmingly grateful. It's amazes me what I can see when I simply open my
eyes. God is so good, I believe He puts little bits of joy in our lives every
day to help us see him.
Thinking of joy, rather than negativity is a strength. It's not easy to do, but it is definitely rewarding.
So I will encourage you to think deeply about what brings YOU joy! Then begin to search for joy every day when you need to be lifted up or reminded of Goodness and Love.
"The Lord is my strength and my shield; my heart trusts in him, and he helps me. My heart leaps for joy, and with my song I praise him." Psalm 28:7
